Fred Falke returns to business with is debut artist album ‘Part IV’.
The hugely In-demand collaborator and remixer presents twelve spectacular,
groovy and melodically rich tracks, all full of Fred Falke signature flavor.
In between remixing the likes of Goldfrapp, Kelis and Jamiroquai, Fred has
made time to finish off some exquisite original productions, some we have
seen before like ‘Look Into Your Eyes’ and ‘808pm At The Beach’ - but the
album includes some new gems ‘Bare Knuckles’, ‘Memories’ and ‘Aurora’. A
French producer with a penchant for house, Fred Falke delivers his much
anticipated debut album jam packed with heavy disco beats, attention
grabbing synth programming and true song writing style. Falke has previously
reworked songs from artists as diverse as Little Boots, Gossip, U2, Annie,
Grizzly Bear, Uffie, Ladyhawke, Lykke Li, La Roux among many others and now
thanks to its instantly recognizable melodies and effective bass lines Part
IV ensures the continuity of the French Touch movement.
The album will be released on Kris Menace’s Work It Baby
in which Fred has seen so much previous success
so makes the perfect home for ‘Part IV’.

Charlie Fanclub (aka Louis Rodgers) is known for his unique genre-bending electronic infusions of French House, Electro and Techno.
In addition to Radio 1 Support from Annie Mac and Jaymo & George, his last e.p ‘Nightbreed’ gained DJ support from the likes of Kris Menace,
Felix Da Housecat, Boys Noize and Fake Blood. ’The Duke’ e.p was his second release since joining the Work It Baby family and there are many more to come.
Club Soda is Marcos Efe and Nando Feitosa, a duo from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Marcos and Nando are both influenced by the French Touch movement from the 90’s, Chicago House, a lot of 70’s Disco Music and a little bit of 80’s Synth Pop.
Club Soda are also the promoters of the legendary BANG! monthly party series in sao paulo, where they´ve met Kris Menace, who immediately signed them to Work It Baby.
Please Welcome “CLUB SODA”
French electro floor smasher duo “Donovans” is composed by Nicolas Nekmouche & David Saïd. David was a producer for some French underground rap band and a DJ, Nicolas was doing some experimental music in his room/cave, then they decided to gather their forces to bring some funky vibes to the French scene.
“Donovans” come from the world of Electronic music and Hip Hop. they have built themselves an impressive remixes portfolio, ranging from Sebastian Tellier, Bob Sinclar feat Sugarhill gang, Arnaud “Blackstrobe” Rebotini to The Shoes and other rock bands. They also released a plethora of their own original tracks, including BREAKIN’ EP (Work it Baby), CHORD EP (Citizen Rec) and UNDERTAKER EP (Cheap/er Thrills) becoming then the first frenchies to be released on this dance UK label.
Meanwhile their Dj sets are setting dancefloors on fire worlwide (Australia, Spain, UK, Germany,…). They played with acts such as Moby, Justice, Cassius, Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, MGMT, and also supported the Vitalic “flashmob tour 2009/2010”, playing all around France.
From their small beginnings on myspace, “Donovans” have become part of the formidable wave of French producers outputting some the world’s best electronic dance music today !
Douze is Arnault Douze Esteve, a young 23 years old French kid. Although he lives in
Chantilly (yes, there’s a place called Chantilly, which makes us want to visit, packing strawberries),
it was Paris that gave birth to his artistic persona.
Douze’s been in really good company. He became a protégé of Kris Menace,
with whom he’s co-written some important tracks of Kris’s “Idiosyncrasies” album.
Presently, they are making new music to be released on Steve Angello’s “Size” label.
The titan Alan Braxe also saw in Douze real and honest talent, working with him on a
track that is still secret and locked on Braxe’s own production vault.
Check out his EP on DiscoTexas called “Douze – Les Paradis Artificiels”
One word is necessary when describing the multi-talented, multifaceted, and quintessential EVA: Dangerous. With such obvious talent, known as the girl with the “golden ears”, it’s only logical that her talents has been lauded by an astonishingly intimidating list of heavy hitters like Felix Da Housecat and Kris Menace, to name a couple, and even instigated an invitation from UNKLE’s front man, James Lavelle, for an exclusive appearance at London’s infamous Fabric Live. Her capabilities have become so recognized that they’ve seen the breadth and the width of the globe, impregnating dance floors in Canada; South America; Europe; Hong Kong; Seoul, Korea; and Guangzhou and Shenyang, China.
Eva’s talent and dedication so permeates every part of her career that it’s no surprise that her production work has been seminal, to say the least, prompting yet another invitation from Lavelle – this time for a remix of UNKLE’s ‘Invasion,’ featured on his ‘Global Underground, Romania’ album. The attention gained from this much celebrated release brought more remix work in the form of a high- profile remix of Kelly Osbourne’s ‘One Word’, Peter Juergen’s anthem ‘Love It’ and ‘Builder’ on Work it Baby Records, France.
Since starting life in music as a bass player in 1995, Fred has rapidly become one of the most sought after writer/producers and remixers around, and 2010 has seen him work with some of the UK’s biggest artists.
Fred started in the world of Production in the late 90’s and since then has dedicated himself to writing and production with Alan Braxe on Vulture Music or Kris Menace on Work it Baby…
More recently as part of the Xenomania writing team he also independently worked with the likes of Goldfrapp, Kelis, Pet Shop Boys or Mini Viva.
Fred also continues to be one of the most in-demand remixers around, recent mixes including Robyn, Sia and Marina & The Diamonds.
Jaunt was originally founded by Hans-Christian Rothmann Bonde & Kris Menace in 2007.
Together they released the heavily rotated “Traveller EP”.
Later Vincent Fries took over Kris´s part and the second single “Lipstick” was released in late 2008.
In 2010 the exclusive track “Evolver” was part of the „Work It Baby 10th Anniversary Compilation“…
Jaunt also did some remixes for acts like „Damn Arms“, „Sneaky Sound System“…
Kap10Kurt comes from a small village in Switzerland. He is now one of the most gifted producers on the New York dance scene. His music draws from electro, gameboy noise, 80’s New Wave and 70’s synthesizer funk, and his trademark sound comes from using vintage synthesizers that combine obese basslines and face-smacking drumbeats. He has released two amazing singles on Plant Music, “Mission Complete” and “Dangerseekers” which has also been featured on an uberhip Kitsune records mix compilation.
His live show combines an electronic drummer and Kurt headbanging with a Roland SH 101 keytar duct-taped to a guitar strap. He also occasionally plays synths with a fine band some of you may have heard of… Depeche Mode, as well as works as a programmer for Dave Gahan, Moby, Cindy Lauper, and countless other cool folks.
LIFELIKE’s first production ‘The Soul Of My Love’, was released in ’2001 on Demon’s 20000ST label, followed the next year by his release ‘Black Chess’.
In 2005 Lifelike released “Running Out” on Work it Baby and later together with Kris Menace “Discopolis” on Alan Braxe´s Vulture Label.
‘Discopolis’ was one of the biggest undeground sellings of 2005 and instant classic, entering the Official UK Top 40 that summer with only vinyl sellings.
Boosted by a MTV censored video from Seb Janiak (director of Daft Punk’s ‘Burnin’ video), the track was re-released the year after with some heavy remixes (Chris Lake, Kerri Chandler, Alan Braxe..), a CD single, and became again n°1 in the top sellings from Beatport. ’So Electric’ was Lifelike´s long awaited next single release which was signed to Wall Of Sound & Pias.
It was not long before a multitude of big-name artists came knocking on Laurent’s door. Remixes for the likes of Moby, Chromeo or La Roux…
In 2009 ‘Sequencer’ & ‘Sunset’ feat. Yota was released on Vulture and in 2010 Lifelike founded his own label “Computer Science” followed by the release “Love Emulator”.
Menace & Adam have been known as the founders & producers behind the main “Work it Baby” label-output. But the story of “Menace & Adam” began back in 1994, when “Yves Adam” and “Kris Menace” met at a record company and became best friends. Yves and Kris, both two born as musical enthusiasts, were producing music independently from each other since 1992. Yves has worked as an audio engineer and mastering doctor… Kris worked as a DJ, grafic designer, promoter and for other well-known side projects.
In 2000 both founded the Work It Baby Label, which became one of the leading and last reminding French-House-Label.
Moonbootica will be celebrating their tenth birthday next year. Or rather, they won’t. Contrary to expectations, there will be no megalomaniac, orgiastic über party. Not an echo of prosecco. No cheese on sticks or twiglets. Nada. Its business as usual.
In traditional Moonbootica fashion, they simply keep on keeping on. As they have been doing since their inception in 1999, Moonbootica, became one of the most exciting producer and DJ projects to have emerged from Hamburg in recent years. After two studio albums, five mix compilations & nearly 50 remixes Moonbootica released their first “Work it Baby” Release called “Strobelight” in 2009.
KoweSix, one have of Moonbootica together with Kris Menace is also Part of “BLACK VAN”, who released their first single “Yearning” on DFA in 2010.
The PWNDTIAC cruises around with heavy basslines, crispy drum sets and cheesy synths…
nothing new so far, yet there is something special about it… and you won’t be able to find out until you checked it out!
we are proud to welcome PWNDTIAC to our work it baby family!
Géraud Lafarge picked up the guitar at the age fifteen and was soon playing with local rock groups in his
hometown of Toulouse, France.
In 1998, he joined the french funk band KETZA as a guitarist and co-composer.
The band quickly worked on recording and performing locally. By early 2000 Ketza had become one of the
Toulouse’s most promising bands with more than 450 concerts in France and Europe.
Besides playing with Ketza, Géraud Lafarge became composer and producer of house music such as Savage.
First on his own, then with his good friend Fred Falke .
Savage was also invited to be part of the Defender project with Fred Falke and Alan Braxe.
In 2005, Defender and Bliss were released through Alan Braxe’s label : Vulture.
In 2007, they produced the exclusive track “You’ll stay in my heart” available on the
french magazine compilation : Les Inrockuptibles / Pop en France.
Savage released “WAIT FOR LOVE” with Fred Falke on Kris Menace’s label
WORK IT BABY in March 2006, followed by his own “MUZAK EP” in 2009 incl. the Tracks:
“Racer”, “I´m in luv” feat Fred Falke, “See Ya” & “Lost Toy”.
Serge Santiago knows Italo Disco. Since 2003 he has released edits and produced Italo inspired EPs; educating us on the world of electronic music that bridges the gap between Disco and House Music.
Santiago began DJing in 1999, becoming a resident at Stompaphunk in Brighton.
In 2003 he met Matt Edwards and formed the remix/DJ duo Radio Slave.
For two years they produced re-edits for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Tiga,
White Stripes, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and the Neptunes,
quickly gaining the reputation as the hottest edit-masters of this time.
In 2005, Santiago split from Radio Slave to go solo.
After releasing his first solo ‘coloured’ re-edit in 2003 – of Italo classic Kano’s ‘It’s A War’ –
he realised where is passion lay and decided to focus on his own productions and re-edits.
He set up his own label Arcobaleno (meaning ‘Rainbow’ in Italian – each release having a different colour)
and released his own ‘Atto D’Amore’ as the label’s first EP release, also his first proper solo production.
The release gained support from Damian Lazarus, Trevor Jackson and the DFA crew, affirming Santiago’s solo status.
From here, coloured vinyl re-edits followed Italo artists including Roxy Music, Grace Jones,
Baciotti, Goblin’s ‘Tenebre’, Thai Break’s ‘Flowers in The Rain’ and Droids ‘The Force’.
As well as official remixes for Hercules And Love Affair (DFA), Shit Robot (DFA),
Goldfrapp (Mute), Cagedbaby (Southern Fried), Kris Menace, Caspa, Simian Mobile Disco and more.
In 2007, Santiago was picked to mix the first ever compilation for the world famous We Love…
Sundays at Space, event. The mix CD, which included tracks from Daft Punk, Cosmi Vitelli,
Ame and Frankie Knuckles, received countless ‘Compilation Of The Month’ reviews and features.
Bookings at the main events in the UK and the world followed,
including touring Europe, Asia, Australia, USA and South America.
In 2008 and feeling the time was right, after spending years perfecting the Italo genre,
Santiago began work on a career-defining album. He felt this was a job for two so
hooked up with fellow producer and very good friend Tom Neville.
What came out of the sessions was a modern day Italo/Disco sound, straight off the bat…
This was the birth of the group Retro/Grade.
Serge Santiago, Tom Neville and Kris Menace re-worked the 2003 released “Kano – It´s a war re-edit”
and released it officially on Work It Baby in 2008 under the Project Name “Trilogyyy”.
The Track found great support, which leaded to a Vocal-Feature from Princess Superstar for
the Work It Baby 20 Compilation!
Vanguard, otherwise know as Tom Morgan and James Thomas from Wales first started producing together when they were 17 years old sampling old funk and 80s soft rock tracks using their different musical influences to create a different sound to regular french house.
James has played guitar since he was 12 and Tom played piano since he was 9. Together they’ve played in a band so have since combined as a duo to bring there many ideas and talents to create a number of fantastic original tracks, first of many being ‘Loving Some Else’ – due for release on Kris Menace’s label, Work It Baby.
Having supported the likes of Annie Mac, Sub Focus, Shy FX, AC Slater, Jaymo & Andy George, Vitalic, Grum, Erol Alkan, Jack Beats and Doorly their ability to perform live or behind the decks has not gone unrecognised hence recently featuring on BBC Introducing and playing a series of Introducing gigs.
Vincent Fries is known for being one half of the duo „Jaunt“ on Kris Menace´s label „Work it Baby“,
for winning the „European ITF DJ Championship“ and for being „DJ ViceWorldchampion“.
He has also won the „Coke DJ-Culture Award“ out of more than 500 DJs, proving that his musical
selection and technique are impressive.
Vincent appeared on highly acclaimed electronic music events worldwide, starting with Love Parades,
festivals, clubs or outdoor events and even TV and Radio shows.
As „Jaunt“ Vincent worked for labels like „Ministry of Sound“ or „Bang Gang“, a sublabel of Modular Australia.
In 2010, Vincent Fries´“JimJam“ was released as an exclusive track on the „Work It Baby 10th Anniversary“ Compilation. The same applies to a track called „Evolver“, produced under the „Jaunt“ alias.
A musician by nature, Bruno Cardoso uses guitars by day and keyboards, synthesizers and records by night.
Xinobi has in the past few years, developed his own versatile, honest sound.
Tracks like BMX, who jump-started his musical career, bring in the funky-house that we now
associate with him, although he also dabbles in Disco, Techno and Electro.
His tracks are clearly from the present day but cognizant of the good bits of the past.
Visually, one might say his tracks are inspired by palm-trees, the ocean, and great sunsets.
They remind us of how awesome the soundtracks of our favorite movies
(the comedies, the ones from the 80s, or the good old italian movies from the 60s and 70s) can really be.
Thats why you can clearly hear some of these decades in the sound of Xinobi.
The sensitivity of the 60s, the disco and psychedelics of the 70s, the breakdance from the 80s,
the french and american 90s house music, and the mash-ups of today.
With his buddy Moulinex, he conceived and created the label and collective Discotexas,
now with cult status and still ascending in popularity – being considered one
big influence in the emerging electronic scene.
Please note that we are not interested in any demos.
